As we stare down into the manger at Bethlehem, it is important that we remember that we are truly staring into the face of Almighty God. Jesus was the one that executed the command, “Let there be Light!” He was the creator of the form of the earth, plants, sea life, animal life and man. He has been a part of the major events of History. He appeared to Abraham as he returned from defeating the 5 the armies that captured Lot. He was the Priest of Salem. He was the one to comfort Hagar and Abraham when Hagar and Ishmael were left in the wilderness. He was the voice in the burning bush when Moses was called into action. He was the one that led the people as a pillar of smoke by day and fire by night.
He spoke to Gideon, Elijah, David, and many of God’s chosen prior to the Holy Spirit’s entry after Jesus’ ascension. Jesus was God long before he was that sweet baby in the manger. It was only after he came and died, though, that He was given the name that is above every name.
We can never separate the Jesus in the manger from the Jesus of the cross and the Jesus that will Return a Mighty Warrior King reclaiming all that sin had taken. He is the supremacy of almighty God!
God Bless You
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
