Full Armor–Shoes of Readiness and Peace–Various Verses

This is the most challenging piece of armor for me.  I have no issue with the readiness of the gospel. Romans 1:16 says I am not ashamed of the gospel, it is the power of God unto salvation for anyone that believes.  So being ready to share the message of hope and peace is a joy.  The struggle for me is the peace aspect.  While knowing the Lord is the source of peace for my life and the lives of Christians through the ages; still the Gospel is a divisive tool.  Those with whom it connects are free while those that are enemies are never at peace and always at war with the people of faith.

The apostles gave their lives in pursuit of spreading the Gospel worldwide.   The peace they provided was a peace that passes human understanding Philippians 4:6.  It allows us to be content in all circumstance Philippians 4:11.  It is a peace that allows us to pray with thanksgiving about anything that is a source of anxiety Phil 4:6.  It is a peace that reminds us that our Lord is with us even until the ends of time Matt 28:20.  It is the peace experienced by David, Daniel, Elijah, Elisha, Paul, and John.     It is God’s peace that has been the carried through His chosen for thousands of years.

Our role as His people is to share that message of peace to the world and bring hope to the hopeless.  Stand Firm and Stand ready!!

God Bless You

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Romans 5:1

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Colossians 3:15

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.

Mark 16:15

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.

John 14:27

I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

This is an amazing Journey. I hope you will hear from the Lord, as you seek Him with your heart. Matthew 6:33
