The next fruit of the Spirit is Peace. While Love is a picture of Our Lord, and Joy is an evident sign of His presence in our lives, Peace is the fruit that is in most demand and the hardest to acquire outside a humble faith in God. We live in a world of chaos and discord. There is truly no peace among men. Throughout God’s word, God gave peace to His people no matter what the circumstances were at the time.
Peace allows us to thrive no matter what else is going on. No amount of success, power, or wealth can replace the sense of peace granted by the Lord. The same holds true in nature. We travel thousands of miles to escape the turmoil of daily life and rest by a quiet shore or out in the open woods. In those places there is a peace and calm that wipes away the stress of our lives and for a brief moment models the peace of God.
As we look at this fruit of the Spirit, we can look at the world around us and know that peace comes from God and not from anything this world has to offer. Then we need to look in our lives and lay on the alter everything that stands between us and God’s peace for our lives.
God Bless You

and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.
