The God that created the planets, stars, and galaxies considers us the crown of His creation. Personally, I look at human beings and do not understand what God sees in us. His love and Grace is one of the greatest mysteries to me. God has placed people in special relationship. He made men a little lower than the angels, but established them over all living things on earth.
If it were up to me, I would have replaced people long ago. We are a mess. But the patience of God is only one aspect of His majesty. He is a gracious God and while He continues to act as our advocate, people have done little to earn the grace and forgiveness God has displayed.
It requires the mind of God to understand His ways. Ironically, to become like God, we must become selfless and humble. When people are in crisis, they sometimes display glimpses of God. selflessness and sacrifice are the hallmarks of the image of God. Many think they have to prove they are great and lofty to be Godlike, Not so, it is the the things one does for God or for others that point us to God’s majesty.
Paul reminds us in Philippians 2 that selflessness is what makes Jesus stand with God. Paul said that it was Jesus humility and sacrifice that caused the Father to raise Him to the highest place and given Jesus the name that is above every name…He is the true Majesty of God. Jesus has brought salvation to men and restoration to all mankind. As it is written, God demonstrated His love for us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8.
God Bless You
Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory
in the heavens.
2 Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?[c]
5 You have made them[d] a little lower than the angels[e]
and crowned them[f] with glory and honor.
6 You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their[g] feet:
7 all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,
8 the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.
9 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
