Psalm 119 Part 3–God’s Timeless and Boundless Word

In a simply put statement, God’s word is as relevant today as it was in the days of King David.  Humans are not as original as we think. Though the geography may change, the history may change and even the technology may change–God’s word transcends time and space.

God’s word, his message is for us.  It reaches past our circumstance and penetrates our very existence.  That is why as we walk with God, and follow him we begin to understand that his ways are perfectly designed to transform us into his image.

His word-is for those that need more than circumstance.  His word is for those that look to him for eternal life and for purpose and meaning.  Through the centuries, civilizations have tried to eradicate his word, minimize his word, discredit his word, but, mostly ignore his word.  In that, they have risen and fallen as they have tried to run independent of his plan.  We who will trust him–simply find that he is enough in any and all circumstance. Whether well fed or hungry, living in plenty or in want, we can do all things through Him–who strengthens us. Phil 4:11-13.

In every generation he has shown his relevance.  We who follow him can also show ours–by simply trusting that ageless, boundless and timeless love letter he has given us!

God Bless You

Your word, Lord, is eternal;
    it stands firm in the heavens.
90 Your faithfulness continues through all generations;
    you established the earth, and it endures.
91 Your laws endure to this day,
    for all things serve you.
92 If your law had not been my delight,
    I would have perished in my affliction.
93 I will never forget your precepts,
    for by them you have preserved my life.
94 Save me, for I am yours;
    I have sought out your precepts.
95 The wicked are waiting to destroy me,
    but I will ponder your statutes.
96 To all perfection I see a limit,
    but your commands are boundless
