Today’s psalm is a fun message for believers. In short, as stiff necked as the slaves who were granted their freedom behaved, the rest of the earth revered God! While Israel was tromping around the desert complaining and moaning–The seas, rivers and rocks were jumping to obey God. The rest of creation knew God was large and in charge! Still, the very people that he freed, fed, led and protected–they never quite grasped that truth’s enormity!
Thank the Lord that we can see the amazing nature of God–His immense power stretches for gazillions of miles in all directions, his attention to detail reaches to particles so small we cannot even see them with our finest technology–still, we know they are there because we see their work. In short, the rest of the world sees God’s power and yields to his leadership–we people need to join the effort. It is a shame that rocks and water have better sense than people, but, we can be as smart as a rock…”Trust and obey, for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but, to trust and obey!”

God Bless You
When Israel came out of Egypt,
Jacob from a people of foreign tongue,
2 Judah became God’s sanctuary,
Israel his dominion.
3 The sea looked and fled,
the Jordan turned back;
4 the mountains leaped like rams,
the hills like lambs.
5 Why was it, sea, that you fled?
Why, Jordan, did you turn back?
6 Why, mountains, did you leap like rams,
you hills, like lambs?
7 Tremble, earth, at the presence of the Lord,
at the presence of the God of Jacob,
8 who turned the rock into a pool,
the hard rock into springs of water.
