It becomes clear, the longer we live that all people have a life that is similar. We are all born, we are raised as children, we become adults with dreams and goals. We face adversity, we encounter temptation and we complete this journey we call life. In that journey, there is a great deal of diversity on when and what trials, temptations, blessings and achievements we encounter–but, at days end, we all live and die.
David laughed at his enemies. He knew that the journey was impossible without God. He anchored his life, his leadership and his existence on God–his fortress. He knew that whether you are rich or poor, you still needed to cling to God as your refuge and strength. That is why David was composing praise songs to God when he was being chased, under attack, devastated by sin or victorious in battle. David was sure that in any and all circumstance he was where he was with God’s assistance and protection
Paul told the Philippians that he had grown content in every circumstance simply because he could do all of them through Christ–Just like David. In our lives, we also must cling to Christ and allow him to lead us, guides us, protect us and execute his plan for our lives. Whatever our station and circumstance–God remains strong and in charge of our life. Those who cling to that truth will have an amazing Journey.
God Bless You
Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him.
2 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
3 How long will you assault me?
Would all of you throw me down—
this leaning wall, this tottering fence?
4 Surely they intend to topple me
from my lofty place;
they take delight in lies.
With their mouths they bless,
but in their hearts they curse.
5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him.
6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
7 My salvation and my honor depend on God ;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
8 Trust in him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.
