Let’s Just Praise The Lord–Psalm 33 Part 1

There is a great deal of time and effort spent in helping us to understand God’s provision, protection and preparation in our lives.  Sometimes, however, it is important to remember that, as God’s chosen people, we need to stop and praise him for who he is.  He is creator, provider, sustainer and savior.  He spoke the universe into being and created a beautiful world for us to inhabit.  He provides live, love, joy and peace–He is amazing.

As his kids, we need to stop sometimes and simply recognize his amazing nature and power. We must give him the credit that he is due. We need to do more than simply thank him for what he has done–we need to adore him for who he is. We need to speak praise to the great creator, the master planner, the real savior and all knowing, powerful and omnipresent God that rules the universe!

As we march into the Christmas holiday, let’s not only recognize the wonder of Christmas–Let’s make this season a time to recognize the wonder of God!

God Bless You

Let the godly sing for joy to the Lord;
    it is fitting for the pure to praise him.
Praise the Lord with melodies on the lyre;
    make music for him on the ten-stringed harp.
Sing a new song of praise to him;
    play skillfully on the harp, and sing with joy.
For the word of the Lord holds true,
    and we can trust everything he does.
He loves whatever is just and good;
    the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.

The Lord merely spoke,
    and the heavens were created.
He breathed the word,
    and all the stars were born.
He assigned the sea its boundaries
    and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs.
Let the whole world fear the Lord,
    and let everyone stand in awe of him.
For when he spoke, the world began!
    It appeared at his command.
