Psalm 8–How Majestic Is Our God

When You consider God’s majesty, The fact that he set the universe in place. The fact that he created galaxies and stars and planets. He also created elements and atoms and micro-organisms.  He put the amazing pieces of a grand puzzle together, and they have remained together for thousands and thousands of years. That is majestic!

What is even more amazing; is that God created us.  We have the ability to reason, to love and to make choices that affect our lives–both now and eternally.  He gave us dominion over the animals and the plants.  He gave us the ability to operate outside of some instinctual manner, and reason and consider the impact of our choices and our decisions on those around us.

Finally, God gave us the ability to know and to love him.  He sacrificed all; to allow us to be in relationship with him.  He is truly a majestic, amazing and powerful God. He simply wants to share in our lives, and prepare us for an eternity with him.  When we consider the absolute enormity of all God could spend his time caring about–It is amazing that we were the object of his greatest concern and commitment.  Oh, my Lord, How truly majestic is your name!!!!

God Bless You

Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

You have set your glory
    in the heavens.
Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
When I consider your heavens,
    the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?[c]

You have made them[d] a little lower than the angels[e]
and crowned them[f] with glory and honor.
You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their[g] feet:
all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,
the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.

Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
