Time to Start the Journey–Genesis 40

When the people of Israel finally engaged in following God’s leadership, everything came together. Not only did they complete the Tabernacle as God instructed; but they became engaged in their own journey. No longer the entitled victims, but, now they were a people ready to reclaim the land that God had promised them.

God made his plan simple and clear—I will be with you. When I am in the tabernacle, stay put, when I am not, we journey. It was easy, visual and clear. Moses, as the leader, simply followed the plan God set out. Since the exodus from Egypt, there had not been a time more exciting.

In our Journey–when we seek God and follow his lead, he will prepare, protect and provide for us with the same passion he did for Israel. It not only builds our faith in him, but, it makes choices easier and life more focused on eternity. We simply cannot do life effectively without God’s direction and leadership. We, however, have to seek him and follow that lead to see him work.

God Bless You

Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.

Moses could no longer enter the Tabernacle because the cloud had settled down over it, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.

Now whenever the cloud lifted from the Tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out on their journey, following it.

But if the cloud did not rise, they remained where they were until it lifted.

The cloud of the Lord hovered over the Tabernacle during the day, and at night fire glowed inside the cloud so the whole family of Israel could see it. This continued throughout all their journeys.
