He Chose Us–John 15 Final

We each have the privilege of following The Lord. It is a simple matter of submitting to his leadership.   But, the truth is–God chose us. He loved us, chose us and sacrificed his God hood and life for us. No amount of sincerity or effort can replace his gift of salvation.

As beautiful as that is, it is man’s biggest barrier. Since Adam, men wanted to control the outcome. George Bernard Shaw said, “God created Man in his image and man has been returning the favor ever since.  We do not like to be the chosen ones.  We want to choose and set the terms.  But, as creator, author ad perfector of our faith, God has absolute power to decide and to guide our lives.

We will enjoy peace and joy if we can simply accept that he has chosen us, loves us and will lead us to be like him and with him for all eternity.  It was how we were designed and the best way for us to finish.

Seek first his kingdom and righteousness and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33.

God Bless You

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.

This is my command: Love each other.

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.

If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me.
