Most of us will find a way to accept the cards we are dealt. Illness, financial reversal, problems in relationships all are sources of anxiety and pain, but with time can be endured. BUT, when you start messing with our kids–that is a different story!

God told Abraham to take his son and kill him as a sacrifice. What’s more, Abraham got up the next day and set out to do what God said…HOLD the phone. Abraham trusted God not only with his life and his stuff–But with the son God promised him for nearly a century!

That is why his faith was credited to him as righteousness. We have to be willing to trust God with our lives, our stuff and yes…our kids. He will do what he has planned. We must pray for them, love them, be a Godly example, BUT, ultimately release them into his care. Uuuugh that is the hard part–that is real faith.

God bless you

Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!”“Here I am,” he replied.

Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”

Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about.
