The Garden–Genesis 2 Part 2

When God finished with the earth…It was set up for man to enjoy, not for him to work on it.  There were no weeds or grains simply fruits and vegetables for all to enjoy. We have to remember it was man’s sin that changed the Dynamic not the Lord’s creation.  The wonder of an earth where all was lush and beautiful and while everything was available, there was no need to hoard or exploit the beauty.

That is still his model for our lives.  Admittedly, this is not the Garden–but, we can still enjoy what he has provided without having to hoard or exploit it.  We need to be Generous with God and others.  We need to be content, whatever our circumstances and we need to be trusting and hopeful that God will provide as he did then,  In Malachi 3 God says trust me, try me prove me…he promises that if we will not let our stuff become our focus–if we will release the tithe to him he will,  as in the Garden, make our lives rich and plentiful!

God Bless You

When the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, neither wild plants nor grains were growing on the earth. For the Lord God had not yet sent rain to water the earth, and there were no people to cultivate the soil. Instead, springs[b] came up from the ground and watered all the land. Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.

Then the Lord God planted a garden in Eden in the east, and there he placed the man he had made. The Lord God made all sorts of trees grow up from the ground—trees that were beautiful and that produced delicious fruit. In the middle of the garden he placed the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
