On the seventh Day God looked at his completed creation and rested from all the work he had done. What a moment in time that must have been. There, before him, was the wonder of the universe. He created a pristine planet, he created such amazing creatures on land sea and air. He created man.
Why do we set a day apart as holy? It is because we worship a grand creator that poured all he had into designing and building a place we could call home. He knew that we must stop periodically to reflect and reset. We reflect on the wonders of our creator, Savior and Lord. We reset on the fact that as we follow him, God will provide, protect and prepare us for eternity in heaven, with him.
One day, set apart from our insane schedules, to remember that he is truly God. He–who called creation into being, wants to spend time with us to connect and to be a part of our lives. When you consider his work, sacrifice and wonder…that is not too much to ask!
God Bless You
So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed. 2 On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested[a] from all his work. 3 And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation.
