Do Not Lose What You Have Already Achieved–2 John

We should not need to be reminded, but we sometimes do, that we must believe the truth and stop chasing the lovely lies the world and our enemy like to tell. As I look at modern media, the messages grow louder each year–faith in God is crazy.  If you trust God you are intolerant, radical and somewhat ignorant.  Yet, if you place your faith yourself, politics, entertainment or money, you are very astute.  It really does not matter that all of those things are temporal and in utter chaos.  It only matters that you do not follow God.

Stop listening to the noise.  Instead listen to the truth.  God is God and is faithful like none other.  He created us and provides for and protects us through the struggles we face.  He gives us peace, security and an eternity with him so that we can follow and enjoy the freedom he provides.

We must hold on to this truth and share it with all who will listen.  This truth is what can help our nation to right its course and return as “One Nation Under God”.  More importantly, this truth will help us to live lives of purpose and pass the legacy on to our families.  Help me Lord to love others and follow your commands–then I can help to change the world!

‘God Bless You

I am writing to remind you, dear friends,[c] that we should love one another. This is not a new commandment, but one we have had from the beginning. Love means doing what God has commanded us, and he has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.

I say this because many deceivers have gone out into the world. They deny that Jesus Christ came[d] in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an antichrist. Watch out that you do not lose what we[e] have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward. Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son.
