God’s Word, What a great treasure. I am so drawn to this book that I truly miss days that I am unable to hide in it for a while. A wise pastor suggested that I start blogging the lessons that God was showing me. It has truly been an amazing journey. Today marks my 500th entry into this blog. I am more confident today than I have ever been that his word is more true and applicable for my life than any other single resource.
Staying faithful in studying the word allows us to focus on the eternal perspective in the midst of our chaotic world. We hear so many lies and see so much travesty that unless we regularly fill our minds with truth and hope–we will fall prey to the lies and hopelessness this world provides. In addition, hiding hi word in our hearts will assist us in choosing wisely, consistently and it will help us to provide hope to those we see that are hopeless. Like any other discipline, daily devotion to the Lord is difficult to maintain, but, priceless as a treasure.
God Bless You
How can a young person stay pure?
By obeying your word. I have tried hard to find you—
don’t let me wander from your commands.
11 I have hidden your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you.
12 I praise you, O Lord;
teach me your decrees.
13 I have recited aloud
all the regulations you have given us.
14 I have rejoiced in your laws
as much as in riches.
15 I will study your commandments
and reflect on your ways.
16 I will delight in your decrees
and not forget your word.
