No Matter the Audience, the Truth Remains–2 Timothy 4 Part 1

We have to face the fact that the time is nearing that people will no longer listen to the truth, but will court lies and persecute those that oppose them.  As we watch life unfold, we see the Church and its message become more marginalized and those that speak it more unpopular. , Around the world, Christians are being killed and imprisoned for standing firm and speaking truth.  In America, where our founders specifically documented the desire to follow God in this nation’s cornerstone documents, we see new legislation each year that strip the freedom to worship from us in the name of tolerance and independence.

None the less, we are called to proclaim the truth. No matter the high the cost or how little the demand ,we tell folks how God has changed our lives.  In the days ahead, we have to stand firm even as the pressure to remain silent increases and the exposure to ridicule becomes more pronounced.  We are ambassadors for our Lord, as such we can never be ashamed or afraid.

God Bless You

In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.
