Jesus said it best–They will know you are my disciples by how you love one another.  There is no better testimony of how we walk with the Lord–than how we behave in life and how we treat others.  People evaluate God by how we behave.  It is probably not fair to God to have us as his testimonial, but it is a great joy to know that a dose of kindness and acts of selflessness are as important as a great crusade in winning others to Christ.

When we remember that we are a family and treat others as such, we stand out as dramatically different in this self-driven culture.  In addition, we experience so much less drama if we are able to release our tight grip on our rights and our stuff.  This is simply not our home.  The trappings of this world, while seductive, do not last and do not bring fulfillment.  Like most folks passing through, we should seem like we are not from around here.  But, we should also represent our home with pride and joy.

Let’s wave the Lord’s banner of Love and selflessness on this the week he waved it for us!

God Bless You

Now about your love for one another we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other. 10 And in fact, you do love all of God’s family throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers and sisters, to do so more and more, 11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, 12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
