It really doesn’t matter what the world thinks of you. At best, as a child of God, the world thinks you are weird and naïve. Often, as we watch the media they are quick to typecast the followers of Christ backward, opinionated, racist and intolerant. While we try to show them a picture of God that is loving, moral, selfless, sharing and kind—the world ignores us and judges us. Jesus warns—do not be surprised that the world does not praise and accept you…they rejected me first.
This Journey is a spiritual battle. We have a real enemy that has two goals—Destroy us and hurt God. He has been at it since the Garden of Eden and has perfected his strategy ever since. We are blessed to have the Spiritual Armor and the Host of Heaven to help fight the battle; but, it is still a battle. We need not walk our days unaware. We stay in his Word, on our knees and forging ahead to become Like Christ. As we do, he gives us strength to fight, provision to live and the joy of knowing we will be victorious as we remain faithful—Despite what the world and the enemy might tell us. Jesus said it best –John 16:33
33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
God Bless You
24 “The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master. 25 It is enough for students to be like their teachers, and servants like their masters. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul, how much more the members of his household!
26 “So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. 27 What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. 28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.[b] 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.
