When America dealt with issues of women’s rights at suffrage and again in the last 30 years—little did we remember that these have been the issues that have divided folks for thousands of years. The most amazing thing is that God is the most concerned with the treatment of women. When he breathed life into Adam, he made Eve from one of Adam’s ribs—not his hair; not his toe; but– his rib to signify a side by side journey. Throughout Bible history, God showcases great Godly women like Esther, Ruth, Sara, Hannah, Abigail, Dorcus, Mary, Mary Magdalene, Martha, Pricilla and the list goes on of Godly Women that have shaped our world.
The most concise plan for Marriage–in Ephesians 5: 20+ calls for mutual submission by husbands and wives with husbands understanding that the couple are one person, one mind, one heart and one spirit. The Church gets a bad reputation for their its treatment of women, but, truth is if we walk submitted to God and His word, we will honor each other and live humbly as servants to each other and to him. Then, the Father is free to provide, protect and to lift us up to the honorable seat of His adopted children and heirs—no distinction as to gender. Once we understandthat it is God’s nature to love and honor us, then we can see that the enemy desires to humiliate and destroy us. It is the World that would promise equality and deliver slavery. The World says we need to be independent–all the while, looking for ways to entrap and to enslave. God says trust and follow me and I will lead you thru the traps and into true freedom, understand only a Father loves his kids enough to truly protect them from their own desires. Choose this day whom you will serve, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
God Bless You
“Therefore, if it pleases the king, let him issue a royal decree and let it be written in the laws of Persia and Media, which cannot be repealed, that Vashti is never again to enter the presence of King Xerxes. Also let the king give her royal position to someone else who is better than she. 20 Then when the king’s edict is proclaimed throughout all his vast realm, all the women will respect their husbands, from the least to the greatest.”
21 The king and his nobles were pleased with this advice, so the king did as Memukan proposed. 22 He sent dispatches to all parts of the kingdom, to each province in its own script and to each people in their own language, proclaiming that every man should be ruler over his own household, using his native tongue.
