Why Wait

This is the plaguing question of our generation, “Why wait?” Everything in our culture demands instant gratification.  What we eat, entertainment, how we communicate–all say, Right NOW!!!  That has never been God’s way.  God’s way has always involved patience and submission.  He says, “Wait on me and trust me.” God’s way, always allows for peace, for restoration and for completeness. He knows that as in nature, those things that take time to create or develop always last longer.

God is not nearly concerned with placating our need for instant gratification as he is with conforming us into his image.  When we finally grasp the idea that he is worth the wait and his plan is always the best for us–then, we will find new energy, stamina and drive to continue.  The world will fade around us but we will be able to drive forward and endure.  Please Lord, give me the ability to wait on you and your plan for my Life.

God Bless You

Have you never heard?     Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God,     the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary.     No one can measure the depths of his understanding. 29 He gives power to the weak     and strength to the powerless. 30 Even youths will become weak and tired,     and young men will fall in exhaustion. 31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.     They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary.     They will walk and not faint.
