Though our faith is the key to our salvation, it is important to incorporate a level of discipline into our lives. Faith needs training just like the physical body. As we remain faithful in our walk with him, we see a dramatic change in our spiritual conditioning. We can lift the burdens we are handed. We can continue to move forward on those days the world would encourage us to give up. But, what’s more, we can encourage others to run the race set before them as well. We look spiritually fit and we feel empowered by his spirit. The goal is to focus upon him—the author and perfector of our faith.(Hebrews 12:3). As we do, we will become spiritually fit! Help me Lord to feel the spiritual burn!
God Bless You
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
